The file of correspondence (SZ/CPC/2) is slight and includes: the report of a mission of United Kingdom industrialists to the Caribbean in 1952, Industrial development in Jamaica, Trinidad, Barbados and British Guiana, Colonial No. 294, HMSO, 1953; a letter from R.A.E. Galley concerning a symposium on spray residues in crops held in Zurich in July 1955; and an article by Arthur Creech Jones, A colonial policy for today, Tribune, 11 August 1950.
The file of documents (SZ/CPC/3) contains: reports of the Council; memoranda and reports on such commodities as sugar and palm oil and on pesticide spray residues; papers on the work of the Tropical Products Institute and the question of tropical agriculture generally; papers on microbiological research; and a copy of a report of the visit to the West Indies in 1955 of Sir Alexander Todd, Chairman of the Advisory Council on Scientific Policy.
File SZ/CPC/4 consists of monthly reports of the work of the Colonial Products Laboratory for the period December 1954 to March 1957 inclusive.
