Scope and Content

This oral history collection comprises 21 interviews conducted in 2014. The Memories in Conflict project looked at resistance to war, before, during and after the First World War, explored through Leicester's memories.

Administrative / Biographical History

Leicester Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament received funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund in 2014 to run the year long project 'Memories in Conflict, resistance to war, before, during and after WW1, explored through Leicester’s memories’. The project interviewed local people on the topic and then produced a book and education resource.
