Administrative / Biographical History
Henry Miles (d. 1864) was a corn merchant and grocer at Cambrian House, Dolgellau, Merionethshire. Following his death, his widow, Margaret (1822-[1897]), took over the business. She retired in 1873 to make way for her son, Henry Miles (b. 1853). He retired in 1919 and died soon after. The business had by this time been taken over by John Miles Williams. Henry Miles and John Miles Williams were also involved with the Beddycoedwr gold mine, Trawsfynydd, Merionethshire.
