At a General Court Baron of Benjamin Keene, esq., Lord of the Manor of Gt. and Little Linton, with Chilford and Michaeletts, before Thomas Talbot, gent., steward. The homage present that on 11 Aug. 1788 John Lemon, carpenter, of Linton, and John Lemon, singleman, eldest son and heir of Betty, late wife of the second John Lemon, carpenter, deceased, did surrender by the hands of John Bridge, in presence of William Seaman, surrendered a messuage in Stoney Street sometime in the occupation of Thos. Chambers and now of John Lemon, carpenter, to which John and Betty were admitted tenants...To the use of the right heirs of Betty for ever at a Court of 17 nov. 1773 upon the surrender of William Newling, [and now]...to the use of John Seaman, cordwainer, of Linton...and of John Seaman...is admitted tenant.
