The collection comprises of papers collated by Reid relating to his time in the Antarctic

Administrative / Biographical History

John Reid was born in 1926. He joined the Navy in 1945. In 1947 he was accepted as a member of the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS) serving at Base G (Admiralty Bay) and Base F (Argentine Islands).
