Poster advertising Jordanhill Branch of Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament

In response to the arrival of American Cruise missiles at Greenham Common and preparations by the British Government for the purchase of the Trident Submarine system, to be based on the Clyde, several members of the Jordanhill College staff agreed to start a branch of CND. The inaugural meeting was held on 16 December [1988?] and was open to all those working at the college.
