Scope and Content

Comprises five satirical poems on early eighteenth-century affairs of state, supporting the high-church cause; three of them are on the Sacheverell affair.

Administrative / Biographical History

The compiler of the manuscript and the author or authors of these poems are unknown. The attribution of the first poem, namely, 'The Mitred Club', to Henry Hall of Hereford is now considered very doubtful.
