Captain Robert Thomas (1843-1903) lived in Llandwrog, Caernarfonshire, before moving to Liverpool with his wife, Catherine Bruce Thomas. He died in 1903 in San Francisco. His daughter, also Catherine Bruce Thomas (alive 1903-1928) wrote plays and stories under the pseudonym Gladys Bruce Thomas. She later lived in Wallasey, Cheshire.
