Scope and Content

1 Thomas, Lord la Warre. 2 Thomas Westynges, tenant of 1. Gift for life, for good service past and future, of four pieces of land, meadow and pasture in Swynesheuede and Wyggetofte, [Lincolnshire], of which one is called Goueldtofte (2 a.), another is called le Pyngell (1/2 a.), surrounded by the common way from any direction, the third piece is 1 a. of meadow lying between land in the tenure of John Tateshall on the north side and the land of Richard Ronsynge on the south, and abutting on the land of the said Richard towards the east and west, and the fourth piece of meadow in the tenure of John Tylney lies in Haltoftes between the meadow of 1 there on both south and north, and abutting on the common sewer towards the west and the common way which goes from Asperton to Fenhowse towards the east, on condition that 2 is not obliged to serve anyone else in preference to 1. Annual rent: 2s.8 for the life of 1 and after his decease paying annually one red rose if demanded for every other service except that aforementioned. Dated at Swynesheuede. Latin.
