Scope and Content

This oral history collection comprises 17 interviews with legal professionals working in the Greyfriars area of Leicester, conducted between December 2015 and July 2018. Interviews were conducted by Iain Jones, Beth Potts and Peter Hanson. They focus on the history of legal firms and their owners in the Greyfriars area of Leicester.

Administrative / Biographical History

The Legal Leicester oral history project was part of the greater Greyfriars Townscape Heritage Initiative run by Leicester City Council, with funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund. A walking tour was also developed by students at the University of Leicester using the oral history interviews.
