Dedwydd Jones is a playwright, novelist and journalist. His works, many of which have a strong Welsh or Celtic theme, are numerous and eclectic and include Four Strange Plays (Milton Keynes, 2007), Eight Plays From Nowhere (Milton Keynes, 2008), Bard (Cambridge, 1974) (a play relating to the life of Twm o'r Nant), the play Owen Glyndŵr (Cardiff, 1970), the historical novel The Lily and the Dragon (Llanrwst, 2002), and The Raven Man (Bloomington, Indiana, 2005) (a work based on the life of Edgar Allan Poe). Jones was executive editor of the literary periodical 2 Plus 2 from 1983 to 1985.
