William Jones, (d.1855) druggist, was a prominent member of the community of Pwllheli, Caernarfonshire during the early 19th century. He also expanded into shipbuilding, launching his first ship, the Ann in 1835 and established a timber yard in Pwllheli, Caernarfonshire in c.1837. It was later managed by his son, Griffith and grandson John G. Jones. Griffith Jones was the Secretary of the British and Foreign Bible Society, Pwllheli Auxiliary Branch. J. G. Jones was also the Churchwarden of St. Peter's Church, Pwllheli. The timber yard business continued until well into the second half of the 20th century.
