Sandford St. Martin lies between Chipping Norton and Deddington. In 1977 it was united with Westcote Barton, Steeple Barton, and Duns Tew to form a new benefice.
All the parish records of Sandford St. Martin were deposited with the Bodleian Library in 1977, except for PAR229/H/1, which was deposited there in 1975. Further material was deposited at the Oxfordshire History Centre as Acc 3930 in February 1995 and as Acc 6454 in April 2016. An appendix provides a concordance for old and new references.
