Administrative / Biographical History
Edward Anderdon Reade (1807-1886) was an Anglo-Indian official. He was born at the Reade family's ancestral home, Ipsden House, Ipsden, Oxfordshire. He returned there, in 1860, when he retired from the East India Company. See the Dictionary of National Biography for details.
