Administrative / Biographical History

Angelo Maurizio Gaspare Mariani (11 October 1821 - 13 June 1873) was an Italian conductor and composer. He was a personal friend of Guiseppe Verdi, and conducted the world premiere's of Verdi's 'Aroldo' [16 August 1857]. Mariani also conducted the world premiere of Franco Faccio's opera 'Amleto' [30 May 1865].
