Scope and Content
Administrative / Biographical History
The British Engineering Company of Russia and Siberia was formed in 1915 to coordinate the export to Russia of products ordered by the Russian Government Supply Committee in London from a large number of British engineering manufacturers. Many of the orders documented in the archive subsequently became the subject of claims against the Soviet government in the 1920s and 1930s, which were only settled in the early 1990s.
