Scope and Content

Substantial lantern slide collection on architecture. Mostly British and French architectiure, but also some from other countries, and a few of illuminated manuscripts, stained glass, the Lambeth Bible. Also boxes of loose and miscellaneous photographs.

Photographers generally not identified, but some may well be the work of Rigby himself. Some of the slides were obtained from agencies including Newton & Co. Ltd. of London. The slides are arranged alphabetically by country and location.

The collection includes some lists of the slides, some of which include notes on the slides' suitability for lectures.
