Scope and Content

The records comprise a microfilm of two delivery books of Bromleys, covering 1942-1958 [TR ADA AD5/1-2] and an extensive collection, nearly 700, twentieth century sales and servicing publications originating from numerous manufacturers . Where either Bromleys or Adams stamped the items this is indicated in the catalogue entry. Also a list of agricultural equipment for display at agricultural shows in England 1964

Administrative / Biographical History

Roye Adams and Co Ltd took over the business of John Bromley and Co (Wellington) Ltd also of Newport who were dissolved October 1969. Both firms respectively are and were agricultural implement and machinery dealers as well as agricultural engineers, ironmongers and plant hire contractors.
