Lease (copy), Haddenham, Cambridgeshire

For an undisclosed consideration, Charles Plumptre DD, archdeacon of Ely and parson of the church of Haddenham, Cambridgeshire, leases to Evereld Hustler of Henrietta St, Cavendish Square, spinster the parsonage and rectory of Haddenham, with all appurtenances, for three lives (the future George III, then aged 15, Thomas Abney esq of the Inner Temple, aged 28, and John Gwyer, aged 17) at a yearly rent of #59 13s 4d. The lease requires payments of rent to be made on feast days 'according to the New Stile or new Stipulation of time now used in England'. 5 pages, copy, copied signature of Plumptre, copied signatures of Ann Hodshon, Fras Plumptre, and Ed Hutchinson as witnesses. Copy of memorandum appended certifying delivery of seisin by Plumptre's attorney, Richard York, to Hustler's attorney, Thomas Johnson of St Ives, gent (9 Jan 1754). Copy of Hustler's appointment of attorney also appended, witnessed by Henry Stockdale and Ann Hodshon. Endorsed: 'Received from Mr Woollaston's / Clerk 15 May 1755 / ?H P'. Further endorsed: '1753'.
