In consideration of #188, Robert Negus of Upwell, Cambridgeshire, farmer (1st party), mortgages to Hanslip Palmer of Upwell, gent (2nd party) in the person of Seaman Garrard of Upwell, surgeon (3rd party), Palmer's trustee, his life interest in 17 acres 'fen or marsh ground' in Cranemoor, Manea, Cambridgeshire. Negus further assigns two life insurance policies to Palmer as security for the mortgage. Tripartite indenture, signed and sealed by Negus and Palmer, witnessed by Emma Jane Dow and Edward ?Wandby; duty stamps. Endorsed with receipt for consideration money, same date and signatures. Parchment supplied by G Gibbs of the Blackfriars Road, engraving by Silvester of The Strand.
