Scope and Content

Ann Warren of Cambridge bequeaths to her son-in-law Sowearsby Smith certain land in Newsell and Barkway, Hertfordshire for life, on his death to his wife Ann Smith for life, on her death to her granddaughter Sarah Smith for life, on her death to her grandson Edward Warren and his heirs, in default to the heirs of Sarah Smith for ever; to Ann Smith a certain sum; to Sarah Smith a certain sum; to her grandson Edward Warren and her daughter-in-law Mary Warren certain sums; to Edward Warren certain property; to Sarah Smith certain property; to Mary Sanders wife of Thomas Sanders senior, certain property and a certain sum; to Ann Jackson and to Mary Brady, wife of Charles Brady, certain sums; a certain sum for bread for the poor of Trinity parish, Cambridge; the residue to Sowearsby Smith and Ann Smith, whom she appoints executors. Witnesses: Robert Carrow, Anne Carrow, Ann Hawkins.
