A collection of photographs, measuring 240 x 180 mm, probably by official photographers, of the air lift of Nigerian troops to the Congo as part of the United Nations force (ONUC). The first of these went in November 1960: those serving in Kivu Province, where Kindi is situated, were the 5th Battalion and the Field Squadron. Nigerian troops served in the Congo until 1964.

Physical Characteristics and/or Technical Requirements
Generally good condition, although owing to the sticking of some photographs by damp, two have been trimmed and still have some damage in the top left hand corner.
