Administrative / Biographical History
Walter Rubusana (1858-1936), Ordained into the congregational church in 1884, he helped found the Xhosa newspaper Ilizwi Labantu in 1898. In 1910 he was elected to the Cape Provincial Council. Head of the South African Native Congress he was elected as Vice-President of the African National Congress in 1912.
