Scope and Content

Letter from commissioners for the office of earl marshal to [Dudley] North, later 4th Baron North, informing him that he is to be made a knight of the Bath at the investiture of Prince Charles as Prince of Wales on 4 November following. Whitehall, signed by the duke of Len[n]ox, by the earls of Suffolk, Not[t]ingham, and Pembroke, and by C[lement] Edmondes. Traces of seal. Endorsed with ?eighteenth-century endorsement identifying the recipient and his family.
