Administrative / Biographical History

Kenneth Reid Van der Spuy, as a Major-General during the First World War saw active service with the RFC (Royal Flying Corps) and the RAF (Royal Air Force) on the Western Front, East Africa, German South West Africa and North Russia. In 1915 he was recalled to form the South African Aviation Corps for service in South West Africa.
