Administrative / Biographical History

Dr William Fleming (1790-1880) of Rowton Grange, Cheshire was a print collector. Fleming began collecting books and portrait prints in 1814 and drew upon his extensive print collection to extra-illustrate many of the published works in his library. He collected an almost complete set of prints by the elder William Faithorne (1616-1691).
