The collection consists of scrap books of newspaper cuttings of articles written by himself and others and essays covering various subjects, but in particular touching upon Llanllyfni and the Nantlle Valley. There is a collection of Welsh poetry, some of which is written by Gwallter Llyfnwy himself and two compilations entitled Cerddi'r Dyffryn and Blodau'r Gog which he obviously intended for publication. The letters to Gwallter Llyfnwy have been bound into two volumes. The majority of these have been written by Carneddog. Other correspondents include Saunders Lewis and Sir Ifor Williams.
