The manuscript, copied on paper, contains the text of the Armenian Lectionary called Chashots ('Of Repasts'). It comprises a collection of lections of the Old and New Testaments to be read at Mass, with indications about the ceremonies performed at the Holy Places in Palestine. The manuscript is in bolorgir script, with rubrics in red. The colophon provides details of provenance: comissioned by Archbishop Ter Maghakiay and Ter Yovhannes 'who paid the cost for the paper but did not live to see it finished', it was copied by Thoros and illuminated by Ter Yovakim in April 921 AE (1472 CE) in the city of Kafa in the Crimea. Calligrapher Thoros, illuminator Ter Yovakim
