William Sulzer 1863-1941
Sulzer was born in Elizabeth, Union County, New Jersey on 18th March 1863. He was a member of the New York state assembly, 1890-1895 and was also Speaker of the New York State Assembly, 1893. Sulzer was U.S. Representative from New York, 1895-1912 (11th District 1895-1903, 10th District 1903-09, 16th District 1909-11, 10th District 1911-12). In 1912 he was a delegate to Democratic National Convention from New York, 1912. He was Governor of New York, 1913, but was impeached and removed from office in the same year. in 1914. Sulzer was also a member of the Freemasons. He died in New York City, N.Y., November 6, 1941.
