Administrative / Biographical History

Papers collected by Hywel Francis. Hywel Francis was born in Onllwyn in the Dulais Valley in 1946, the son of David Francis. He is head of the Department of Extra-Mural and Adult Continuing Education at the University of Wales, Swansea and is the co-author along with David Smith, of The Fed, a History of the South Wales Miners in the Twentieth Century (Lawrence and Wishart, London 1980).
