Scope and Content

This oral history collection comprises 26 interviews and 6 sound bites for a BBC Radio Leicester broadcast. They are mostly with Asian people who left Uganda in 1972 after Idi Amin's expulsion order and who then settled in Leicester.

Administrative / Biographical History

This project was organised by Leicester City Museums and Leicester City Council in the run up to the 40th anniversary of Ugandan Asians coming to Leicester.
