Literary Archive of Melvyn Bragg, includes drafts, notes and proof copies of his published works, plays, playscripts, screenplays and filming projects, articles particularly for The Times and 'Punch' Magazine, and material reflecting his various broadcasting endeavours at Thames TV, Border TV, Granada, ITV, Channel 4 and the BBC, including limited material relating to the South Bank Show.
Bragg's archive also includes both a personal and business correspondence sequence. The personal correspondence reflects various important personal and professional relationships with leading figures of the New Labour era including Tony Blair and Peter Mandleson, a wide range of literary and cultural figures of global repute including Seamus Heaney, Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber and Ken Russell, and significant figures from the broadcasting media including Greg Dyke and Michael Grade.
