In consideration of 100s, Robert, once the son of John ate Hale of Withihamme [Withyham, Sussex], confirms his gift to his brother Thomas ate Hale and to Thomas's wife Joan, of three and a half acres of land, two acres of which lie in the parish of Wythihamme between land of the aforesaid Thomas and of Gilbert ate Hoke, and abutting to the north on the tenement of Hugh Wyking and to the south on the Medeway. The other one and a half acres lie in Hobbescroft in the same parish, enclosed by land of Master John de Horne and of Gilbert ate Hoke. Thomas, Joan, and the heirs and assigns of the said Thomas are to hold from the capital lords of the fee. At Withyham, deed poll, witnessed by Henry de Fiskeregges, Robert de Iwregge, Lawrence Bulefin[c]h, Gilbert ate Hoke, Thomas Hainekyn, John ate Welle, Gilbert du Boys, and others.
