Administrative / Biographical History
The Leeds and District Trade and Friendly Society of Sheet Metal Workers was formed in November 1857. It joined the National Amalgamated Tin and Iron Plate, Sheet Metal Workers and Braziers in 1903 and amalgamated with other affiliated societies in 1920 to form the National Union of Sheet Metal Workers and Braziers.
