The contents of the collection consist of printed books, journal collections, facsimiles of manuscripts sources, correspondence, notes, bibliographical references, offprints, pamphlets etc.

Administrative / Biographical History

Sidney Pollard was a renowned Economic Historian, Professor at the University of Sheffield (1950-1998) and of the University of Bielefeld (1980-1990, Emeritus Professor since 1990). He was author of standard works such as, The Development of the British Economy, 1914-1950, Peaceful conquest : the Industrialization of Europe, 1760-1970, The British Shipbuilding Industry, 1870-1914 and Britain's Prime and Britain's Decline.
