Comprises diaries kept by Reverend John Ellis for the years 1771, 1776, 1778, 1780-1782, 1785. The diaries are moderately full. The main items relate to fees for churchings and burials, allocation of tithes and also many references to his brother Morgan, who was also an Anglesey curate.
Also contains 29 memoranda found within the pages of the diaries, including some notices of births, receipts, records of lottery tickets, and a list of charges made by a Captain Herbert Jones against Colonel William Peacock who was High Sheriff of Anglesey from 1779 to 1780.
