Scope and Content

Letters to, and a copy of one from, Richard Middleton, 1857-1905, n.d., with several letters to A. Akers-Douglas (later Lord Chilston), newspaper cuttings and a letter from Alexander George of Teck, 1910.

Among Middleton's correspondents were Balfour, Benjamin Disraeli, Stafford Northcote and Lord Salisbury.

Administrative / Biographical History

Richard Middleton (1846-1905) was Conservative Party Chief Agent from 1885 to 1903.
