Scope and Content

Whereas Edmond Williamson of Old Warden, Bedfordshire, has lately purchased of Francis, Duke of Bedford, certain land in Greenfield, Flitton and Lolworth; and whereas Francis, Duke of Bedford, has lately purchased of Edmond Williamson certain land in Husborne Crawley; and whereas it is agreed that the deeds shall remain in the hands of the Duke of Bedford to be produced when required; Francis, Duke of Bedford, agrees to produce the deeds unless prevented by fire or other accident. Witnesses: John Berry, John Gotobed. Attached are two schedules of the deeds in question, the first covering the years 1740-1791. the second the years 1752- 1792. Two seals are attached.
