With the consent of Alice Hobson, widow and Richard Hobson, yeoman, both of Chatteris (mortgagors of the property in question, see Doc 1775), Thomas Waddington of Doddington esq, executor of the will of Agnes Jenyns late of Doddington, widow, assigns a mortgage of 10+ acres adventure ground in Sutton, inherited from Jenyns, to Robert Grimditch of Chatteris, gent, in trust for Freeman Cawthorne of Chatteris, farmer, who has agreed to purchase the freehold from the Hobsons for #100, to attend inheritance. The consideration is #100 (plus a token 5s from Grimditch). Quadrupartite indenture, signed and sealed by both Hobsons, Waddington and Cawthorne, delivery and receipt witnessed by Ja. Atkins and Phebe Crow, receipt for consideration money on verso, duty stamp. Endorsed as entered in the Bedford Level Company Register on 23 Oct 1765.
