Administrative / Biographical History

Thomas Davies (d. c. 1922) of Bodlondeb House, Dolwyddelan, Caernarfonshire, and later of 58 Denbigh St, Llanrwst, Denbighshire, was a cattle dealer. He was related to the Evans family of Liverpool and Llanrwst, the Thomas family of Llanfairfechan, Caernarfonshire, and the Roberts family of Dolwyddelan. J. O. Roberts (fl. 1886-1935) was born at Hendre Bach, Dolwyddelan; he was a tailor, shopkeeper, and agent for Prudential Insurance, and also a Calvinistic Methodist deacon. Megan P. Williams (fl. 1988), granddaughter of J. O. Roberts, prepared some notes on his life.
