Scope and Content

Volume comprising 65 caricature plates depicting scenes of Victorian telegraphy. Most plates carry accompanying captions, and volume includes one page of letter[ress by F. Preston.

It appears that this collection of electo-plate caricatures was bound by an unknown creator, although the images were originally produced for a private in-house magazine titled 'St Martin's Magazine' [the Central Telegraph Office operated from St Martin-le-Grand].
