Scope and Content

John William Commerell esq of Strood, Sussex, appoints that one third of a trust producing #1,000 per annum, established at the time of his marriage to Mary Bosanquet in 1786, shall stand to the use of their eldest daughter Maria Susanna Commerell, who is engaged to be married to Capt Robert Melville Grindlay of Berners St, St Marylebone, an officer in the East India Company's army. See also Doc 1833. Deed poll, signed and sealed by Commerell, witnessed by William Seymour of Margaret St, Cavendish Square, and Robert Collett Payne, his clerk, duty stamps. Pencilled amendments.
