Scope and Content

This collection consists of two typed manuscripts written by Dr. Rowland Estcourt, an early member of the Fabian Society. The manuscripts are believed to have been early competitors for some American university awards, including the Francis Bacon award for the humanizing of knowledge which the second manuscript is believed to have won. They were donated to the Library by Mrs. Davy-Estcourt, his daughter, in 1972, via the Fabian Society.

See Small Collection description for other sub-collections.
