Administrative / Biographical History
Isabel Robinson was born in 1880, probably in co. Durham. During the first World War she was a nursing sister working in Red Cross hospitals. In 1916 she met and married Daniel James Dwyer of the Australian army when he was recovering in a Cardiff hospital from a head wound he suffered in action in France. The couple settled in Australia at St Kilda, Victoria but returned to England where Isabel died in1965. Daniel was then brought back to Australia by his family; he died in 1972.
