The National Disabled Persons Housing Service Ltd (also known as NDPHS and HoDis) was formed in 1996 to promote housing resources for disabled people in the UK. Funded by its members and by the Housing Corporation, it served as an umbrella organisation representing the interests of a range of agencies and individuals, including many Housing Associations and local Disabled Persons Housing Services. It was based in Priory Street, York.
The NDPHS produced three publications: ‘Needs First: A good practice guide for RSLs to prioritising tenants’ needs for adaptations’ in 2001, ‘Better Ways: A good practice guide for housing providers to lettings policy and practice’ in 2002, and ‘A Perfect Match? A Good Practice Guide to Disability Housing Regulations’ in 2005.
In addition to publishing guidance, it also developed an accreditation scheme for member organisations, ran conferences and training events and contributed to government legislation on disabled housing.
The service closed in 2006 as a result of insufficient funding.

Records are open to the public, subject to the overriding provisions of relevant legislation, including data protection laws. 24 hours' notice is required to access photographic material.

The archive was deposited at the Borthwick Institute in 2012.
