Bonhote Foster & Co Ltd was previously known as Northern Wine Traders Ltd, changing its name in July 1981, soon after the take over by Christopher & Co Ltd. Northern Wine Traders Ltd was incorporated in January 1929. Bonhote Foster & Co Ltd traded as a wholesale of wine, beer, spirits and other alcoholic beverages. The company then functioned as a subsidiary of the holding company Scottish and Newcastle Breweries plc.
