Scope and Content
Administrative / Biographical History
The Federation of Post Office Supervising Officers was founded in 1916 as the Joint Committee of Post Office Supervisory Officers. It was an umbrella organisation for a number of unions covering supervising officers and changed its name in 1918. In January 1952 it ceased to exist as a result of the formation of the Post Office Controlling Officers' Association, which was created by an amalgamation of most of its members.
