HM Customs and Excise are responsible for the collection of duties payable to the Crown, on the import and export of goods and on their manufacture. The two boards were amalgamated into the Board of Customs and Excise in 1909, responsible for administering Her Majesty's Customs and Excise. HM Customs and Excise had offices in Caernarfon, Caernarfonshire.
