William Dennis of Royston, labourer, John Jackson of Barley, yeoman, and David Robinson of Barkway, victualler, stand bound in #50 to absolve the authorities and townsfolk of Royston from all responsibility for the maintenance or education of Dennis's illigitimate son by Alice Walker of Royston. Signed and sealed by Dennis, Jackson, and Robinson (his mark), witnessed by John Bentham and William Coxall, both of Bassingbourn, duty stamps. Endorsed in a slightly later hand: 'Useless Papers'.
