Gwladys, then aged 13 years, presented the basket of flowers seen in the picture to the Duchess at Llandudno Railway Station, before the Royal party moved on to stay at Gwydir Castle, Llanrwst.
JO (born 12 July 1857) was the Chairman of Llandudno UDC and later became a member of Caernarfonshire county Council.
His wife Margaret was from Maenan originally.
Gwladys (born 1889) was their eldest child who married Norman Rogers Jones of Llanrwst, and mother of the donor.
